In a Green Shade: An Evening of Poems in the Garden at Long Hill

On September 17, TESS TAYLOR, and New England’s Patty Crane, January Gill O’Neil, Brian Simoneau, Anna Ross, and Cleopatra Mathis will read poems that celebrate the generative force of gardening, and the reparative spaces gardens offer. Arrive early to admire a mid-September night in the gorgeous and lush Sedgwick Gardens, then join us on the events terrace for sparkling cider and refreshments, and to savor words that celebrate our connectedness to plants and soil, to human and nonhuman life, and to tending and attention. Poems and gardens are both acts of stewardship and care, and they help us excavate wonder, curiosity, and fascination.
